Things people ask

Where is my stuff?

On your machine, in your browser’s storage. There’s no server. If you have browser sync on, your browser carries it between your own computers the same way it carries your bookmarks.

How do I get it onto another computer?

Manage data → Save a copy gives you one file. On the other machine, Restore a copy reads it back.

Restoring replaces what’s there rather than mixing the two, because there’s no sensible way to merge two sets of budget figures.

Why won’t it connect to my bank?

Because then it would need your bank login, somewhere to keep it, and a good reason for you to trust both of those. Duesday asks what your bills are once and then remembers.

Worse first ten minutes. Better everything after.

My reminders aren’t showing up.

Check notifications are allowed for the extension in your browser settings. Bills on autopay don’t notify — there’s nothing to do about them. And browsers hold alarms while they’re closed, so one might arrive when you next open up.

It’s showing the weather for the wrong town.

There are a lot of places with the same name. Search again and pick from the list — adding the state narrows it fast. Turning the weather off forgets the location entirely.

Can I get it on my phone?

Coming soon, iPhone and Android both. When it lands, that file from Save a copy is how your bills get there. No account, same as the desktop.

I thought of something it should do.

Send it. Most of what’s good in here came from somebody using it on a real morning and noticing something wrong.

I found a security problem.
